That one street

Hey Everyone!

There's this street in Funchal which I've walked past a thousand times and never managed to find out why I loved that road so much. It took my boyfriend to say how pretty the road is and how even prettier it'd be in the night if that certain sign lit up. It did.

It's the only store on the whole street that's lit up and this is why I love it..

Boat Day

Hey Everyone!

The thing I've always wanted to do in life is jump off a boat.

I'm not the best when it comes to boats or planes but I wanted to jump off a boat into the sea. I love jumping into the sea so this would just be jumping off a different platform, right? It was something a little bit more than that..

A Day In Funchal

Hey Everyone!

Funchal is the capital and because it's an island it's where you can do the most. It has cute shops, restaurants and sunsets.

One thing I really like about Madeira is that everything is open. You can see boats at the port, planes at the airport and people eating outside. I like it a lot. In the UK you can't see boats at the port or even see planes land on the actual runway while you're driving past. You also almost never see anyone having a fancy dinner outside. It's nice being able to see things you wouldn't see during your usual routine.

Here's a day in Funchal..
(there's a vegan place on this island?!)

A different kind of hike

Hey Everyone!

This is the only kind of hike I do which is different to all the L.A hikes I've seen here and there. It's a lot more green, there's always a levada (irrigation channel) and a ribeira (huge channel filled with rocks and borders that during the winter fills up with water along with whatever else comes down the mountain) you'll have to cross which can sometimes be dangerous.

It's one of my favourite things to do when you've been to the beach too much and need a break but not really a break as it does require a lot of effort to walk up hills and hills..
